On August 20th, 2005 seven members from the Collingwood dojo participated in a Kyokushin demonstration in downtown during the Muslim festival right in front of the Art Gallery. The event was organised by Shihan Stuart & Sempai Kevin Liu. The participants came from different dojos and worked well together to show off the many different aspects of Kyokushin, including: kihon, ido-geiko, kata, self-defence, contact fighting, and even board breaking.
