Trip to New Zealand
May 31st, 2004
During my recent trip to New Zealand I took the opportunity to visit 2 dojos there. I stopped in Napier at the dojo of Sempai Troy Virgil and then at the NZ Honbu Dojo in Wellington under Shihan Bob McCallum. During my visit I was invited to train the classes, and was asked to lead the class through some of the fighting training that we experience herein Canada. I lead both classes through the 2 man drills for reaction training, and the techniques were well received by the students. Afterwards the dojos then invited my wife and I out for dinner at local restaurants. Their hospitality and friendship reaffirmed why Kyokushin is strong around the world.

I would like to thank Shihan Bob for his particular hospitality as his dojo extended their hospitality to providing our hotel for the night also.

I hope that I will have the opportunity to extend the hospitality of the Canadian organization both Shihan Bob & Sempai Troy.

I look forward to seeing our New Zealand friends again in New Zealand.

Osu!
