Members of the International Karate Organization Kyokushinkaikan - Canada (IKOK-C), left October 29 for the 8th World Tournament in Tokyo, Japan. In all, over 30 members made the trip to take in the Tournament, the Mitsumine International Training Camp and just to enjoy a life long dream to visit Japan the birthplace of Kyokushin Karate.

Canada was well represented at the event with fourteen fighters in total. Spectators from both East and West Canada gave the competitors added enthusiasm to give their best efforts. At the end of the tournament, Kiyama from Japan remained as the victor.

After the tournament, twelve members from Western Canada attended the four-day Mitsumine Training camp. Everyone enjoyed the camp as well as the natural and historical surrounding offered.

Returning to Tokyo a number of students stayed in Japan for several days to enjoy the uniqueness Japan has to offer.
