Terry Lange :
|
Terry Lange, 1st Dan, first put on a Kyokushin Dogi in 1976 when he Joined
Sensei Tony Severs (4th Dan) Richmond dojo as a white belt. He has trained
extensively under Sensie Henry Suitela (3rd Dan), Sensei Wlodek Maruniak
(4th Dan), and Shihan Stuart Corrigal (6th Dan). Terry was awarded his 1st
Dan in August 1999, after passing a rigorous grade test put on by Shihan's
Bobby Low (8th Dan),Stuart Corrigal (6th Dan), and Don Corrigal(5th Dan) at
the Enderby BC Summer camp. Terry regularly attends summer camps, winter
camps, black belt camps and other seminars and functions put on by the CKKO.
He also volunteers and officiates at a number of Tournaments, participating
as a competitor from time to time as well.
Currently, Terry is acting as an assistant instructor at the Suitela Fitness
Club in Surrey BC, and the Guildford Kyokushin club in Guildford Surrey. He
offers a mixed format class, focusing on all aspects of Kyokushin Karate -
sparring, kata, self defense, and overall fitness and well being.

Ali Khakbaznejad :

Sempai Ali started Kyokushin Karate in 1983 with Shihan Massoud Homayounpour,
the branch chief of Iran. He trained in Iran for two years obtaining the
yellow belt. In 1995 he joined the Surrey dojo instructed by Sensei Henry
Suitela. Sempai Ali Received the brown belt (Kyu 2)from Sensei Henry in 1997.
In 1998 he joined the Guildford dojo instructed by Sensei Woldek Maruniak.
He received the brown belt with stripe (Kyu 1) in 1998. In August of 1999 Sempai
Ali received his black belt (Shodan)in Enderby, B.C. from Shihan Stuart Corrigal.
Ali has participated in several knock-down tournaments at both national and
international levels. He placed 3rd in the heavy-weight coloured- belt division in
the Canadian Tournament in 1995. In 2000 Sempai Ali took on the job of instructing
Karate to students 12 years and older at the Surrey Dojo. He also actively trains at
several other dojos and enjoys coaching and officiating at tournaments.
