| The Rocky Mountain Dojo’s 2003/2004 season came to
a close June 21 in Cranbrook with the year end barbeque, belt
& awards ceremonies at Shihan’s home on the edge of
Cranbrook. Approximately 80-100 students, instructors, families
& friends attended the annual event.

The award was given to John & Kathleen for their success
in running the dojo’s fund raising this which raised
approximately $14,000 in money & services for the dojo
since September 2003. We would like to thank both john &
Kathleen for their hard training and huge effort this year.

2004 Dan Grading
3 seniors from the Rocky Mountain Dojo applied for Dan grading
this year – Bill Stalker, Jerry Gilchrist & Hunter
Corrigal. They will be completing their testing process at
the Canadian Summer Camp in the Okanagan Valley, July 30,
31, Aug. 1 & 2. They have worked hard during the rigorous
process to date and wish them the best of luck.
Spring Kyu Testing
Kyu testing for the Spring session was held June 14. Many
applied for grading, not all were successful. Congratulations
to the successful candidates. Those that did not pass, persevere,
train harder and try again in the fall.
