PART 5 - Rocky Mountains Dojo Spring Report (May 1st, 2004)

The Rocky Mountains Dojo has been active during the winter 2003/2004. Recent grading for kyu grades saw 16 students grade for belts from 10th kyu to 5th kyu. Congratulations to those that were successful in their efforts.

The dojo members and families have been working hard since last September to raise
funds to support the dojo’s plans to attend the 21st Canadian Kyokushin Championships.
These efforts have resulted in enough funds to cover the cost of a 57 seat Greyhound bus
and hotel expenses for dojo members and their families traveling on the bus to Vancouver
for the May 8 event at the University of British Columbia’s War Memorial Gym. Fighters have
been working hard to prepare themselves for the competition. The dojo thanks the dojo’s
fundraising committee, chaired by Kathleen Darula and supported by Lorinda Ravenstein
and Linda Benson, and John Darula for arranging the bus.
