History of the Dojo
|

Coquitlam Kyokushin Karate was first
opened in 2002. The dojo has
recently moved to the current
location in Port Coquitlam.
Classes run three times a week. As
of November 2005, all the classes
are full with a waiting list. Please
contact Dean for updated info of any
openings.

27 years experience in Kyokushin as a competitor, instructor, tournament
coach and referee. Competition at all levels of participation; from
children's division to amateur and professional international tournaments
representing Canadian and North American teams. Tournament highlights: 1995
Canadian representative at 6th World Open Kyokushin Championships,1997 World
Weight Category Karate Tournament. Placed 8th in the men's light weight
division. 1998 Represented North America at the first team tournament at the
Coupe Du Monde. 1999 Mas Oyama's
Goodwill Martial Arts
Tournament 1st place Men's
Open. 2001 Vancouver Cup
Championships Middleweight
champion. 2007 Western
Canadian Open Division
