PART 6 - New Dojo (September 2007)

Banff Kyokushin Karate New Dojo: A place to call home

Banff Kyokushin Karate is extremely proud to announce that gWe have our very own Dojo!h

After many hours of exhausting jack-hammering (18 hours to be exact!), painting (precision work I might add!), and cleaning (we lost count of how many times the washroom got cleaned!) - New meaning to the saying gBlood, sweat & tears!h has definitely been felt by all.  Demolition work of an existing restaurant kitchen began on Thursday, August 2nd, 2007 and with countless hours of volunteer help from our very own members we were able to open as scheduled for the Fall Session on September 6th, 2007.  Many thanks to all of our volunteers and contractors that dedicated their time and efforts to help see our new Dojo become a reality!  As the saying goes gWe could not have done it without you!h

Our new home brings lots of changes – especially for our long-time members!  Our space is much more defined in terms of look and feel of a gJapaneseh style Dojo (small), however with this new change comes fresh & exciting outcomes of improved strength, new-fangled conscientiousness, and most of all an energetic spirit to train!

We are located on the back-side of 114 Banff Avenue (back alley entrance) and welcome all new and existing members!  Donft forget to check out our photos!

Osu!
